Did you know that 1 in 113 people in America suffer from Panic Attack Symptoms. That is way too many. Some reasons for attacks run deeper than just changing your diet and exercising more but in many cases changing your diet and exercising can stop a panic attack.
The number one reason For Panic Attacks is fear and a lot of fear is a direct byproduct of stress. So to stop an attack we need foods and beverages that get rid of stress. Foods with b vitamins can relieve a lot of stress since they help produce serotonin in your body that gets rid of stress.
Lets think of some foods that have lots of b vitamins or produce serotonin!
1. Broccoli- Broccoli is loaded with B vitamins and even comes with the added stress fighter folic acid.
2. Whole grain rice or pasta- healthy carbs like whole great rice or wheat pasta have a nice dose of serotonin. This will get you thinking more positive and relaxed.
3. Blueberries- blueberries are a delicious superfood packed with antioxidants. They also contain Vitamin C that will reduce your stress big time as well.
4. Milk- milk is fortified with vitamins and minerals including b6 and b12 vitamins. A good combo of course would be some whole grain cereal, milk, and blueberries for a stress busting breakfast.
Exercising is another crucial factor to overcoming stress and reducing your risk of a panic attack. If you exercise 45 minutes a day you will get your adrenaline pumping and also produce more serotonin in your body causing you to relax.
If going to the gym isn’t your thing walking is a great and relaxing way to exercise.
Warning: Make sure to also cut out alcohol if you want to reduce stress. If you eat some of these foods and exercise 45 minutes a day you may Stop Panic attacks and will be happier and healthier.
Right Diet and exercise helps but they may not stop all panic attacks.
